7am Registration opens for the Walnut Beach 5k ice cream run                

 

Join us at the Walnut Beach Pavilion to register for the 3rd annual Walnut Beach 5K Ice Cream Run. Free ice cream for every runner/walker. There’s a free kid’s run at 8am.

10am Festival officially opens. The winner of the

          Wall of Art contest is unveiled*                                           

          The student art contest, now in its 11th year invites the winner of best in show to paint a mural to be added to our wall of art. Come see this year’s winner as well as murals from past festivals.

10:30-11:30 Kookeeukie Ukulele Band performs on the green.              

The Southern Connecticut Kookeeukie Ukulele Band plays at festivals and farmer’s markets throughout the state. Family favorite music with a Hawaiian flair.

Master carver William Brill demonstrates the art of wood carving and you are invited to participate. Free

1 PM Tour Stowe Farm*                                                       

The Stowe Farm was acquired by the City of Milford with the intention of transforming it into an artist consortium and teaching barn. Take a tour and see the plans for this exciting project. Meet at Firehouse Gallery. Free.

The Firehouse Gallery is located at Monroe and Naugatuck Avenue

2 PM   James Dongweck                                                                

James Dongweck is the auther of The Dragon’s Court and The Uncross-able Canyon. Mr. Dongweck will read excerpts from his work and free books will be available while supplies last, a donation from Devon Rotery. Free

3pm Kristen LaViola                                                                      

Kristen LaViola, the owner/founder of of Manifest Beads in Milford will demonstrate the art of jewelry making.                               Where:        On the Green across from the Walnut Beach Pavilion
